IFG Trust Company Limited is a part of the International Division of IFG Group plc, a specialised financial services company that is listed on both the Irish and London Stock Exchanges. IFG Trust Company Limited provides specific trustee services to a range of clients, including performing the duties of an eligible Trustee for Business Expansion Scheme (BES) Funds in Ireland.
The BES is a tax relief incentive scheme that provides tax relief for investment in certain corporate trades. Subject to conditions, relief from income tax is available by way of a deduction from income to individuals who invest long-term risk capital in ordinary shares of unquoted companies resident in Ireland or resident in the European Economic Area with a qualifying establishment in the State and who are engaged in certain manufacturing and/or service industries in the State.
Under the Designated Investment Funds Act, 1985, the operation of a BES Fund requires the appointment of a Trustee.
